ACARA's Information Publication Scheme (IPS)

Part II of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 establishes an Information Publication Scheme (IPS) for Australian Government agencies subject to the Act. Under the IPS scheme, ACARA is required to publish a broad range of information relevant to stakeholder interests and the general public, including an agency plan (ss 8(1) and 8(2)(a)). The IPS underpins a pro-disclosure culture across government and transforms the freedom of information framework from one that is reactive to individual requests for documents to one that relies more heavily on agency-driven publication of information.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982, the information published on this page has been released by ACARA and is available for public access.
