Phase 3 - The Australian Curriculum

The Ministerial Council on Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs (MCEECDYA) has requested ACARA to provide advice about curriculum development for other learning areas identified in the Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians, including design and technology, health and physical education, ICT, economics, business and civics and citizenship.

Until a decision is provided by MCEECDYA regarding that advice, other learning areas currently not under national curriculum development will continue to be the responsibility of the state and territory authorities.
