Phase 3 - The Australian Curriculum

The Ministerial Council on Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs (MCEECDYA) requested ACARA to provide advice about curriculum development for other learning areas identified in the Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians, including design and technology, health and physical education, ICT, economics, business and civics and citizenship.

ACARA has provided advice to MCEECDYA in regards to the development of the whole curriculum, covering all of the learning areas indicated above. Agreement was reached at the MCEECDYA April meeting on phase three learning areas and the timetable for development.

More information about phase 3 Australian Curriculum development will soon follow.
