Advisory panel details

Writing teams and advisory panel members (for English, mathematics, science and history) have been selected from across Australia and play a significant role in developing the Australian curriculum.

Curriculum writers are employed by ACARA to develop curriculum in accordance with the guidance set by ACARA’s Board.

K-12 learning area advisory panels assist curriculum writers by providing advice on draft materials at key stages in the development process.

An Equity and Diversity panel, with expertise in cross-curriculum matters including remote education, ESL, multiculturalism and students with special needs, provides valuable advice to ensure that the curriculum is accessible to all students. A Stages of Schooling advisory panel provides feedback on the age-appropriateness of content for students at each year level.
